Born in Valjevo in 1949. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, Department of Art History. At the same faculty he finished his master's thesis entitled "Iconology of Ervin Panofsky“ He defended his PhD dissertation entitled “ An expanded concept of art of Joseph Beuys" He is a full professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade.
